Let’s explore the opportunities to help make your money work for you to power your passions, rather than letting it control who you are and what you do.

Challenge Yourself To Spend Less

My Money Free Weekend

If I challenged you to find ways to entertain yourself without spending any money could you do it?  Most people would baulk at the idea of even trying to achieve this but if you are not most people - consider yourself challenged to spend a weekend without spending money on activities to entertain yourself.

Before you get started take the time to write down in an expense tracker  what your weekend usually looks like and itemise what you would usually spend your money on.  This is a great way to see where you are spending money that you don’t need to when you adopt some of the thinking you will learn in your Money-Free Weekend Challenge.

After you complete your challenge, compare not only where you did and did not spend money but also how satisfied you felt after spending your weekends in these different ways.  You may surprise yourself.

Never Work Another Day In Your Life!

Finding and fueling your passions

Have you ever been really passionate about something?  You might not be able to call it something - it might be a task you enjoy doing, a feeling an activity gives you, even if you are not good at it, or even a gut feeling that you were meant to do something.

All of these feelings or intuition, however you want to define it, indicate where you are more likely to find true success.

This is when you are so aligned with who you are that when you work it will not feel like work to you -  therefore; you will never work another day in your life!

Success is not measured by money and fame, it is measured by an abundance of joy, happiness and contentment.

It is time to ask yourself questions to uncover your passion and start fuelling your life to take inspired action to reach your true potential.

Teach Your Kids & Yourself How To Manage Your Money

When you went to school did they teach you how to manage your money?  I can’t remember ever having that type of education which is scary because it is a fundamental skill we all should learn as early as possible.

Why should your children learn this early?  That's because the earlier this is learnt the more positive money mindset your children will develop.

Unfortunately, as parents you have probably inherited your parents money mindset without even knowing you have and are now giving that gift to your children.

How you can better understand this is by closing your eyes and thinking about your first memory about money that you can recall.  This will trigger other memories that will help you to see how your brain has been subconsciously programmed as a child.  Before you blame your parents, remember they are only rehashing their own experiences and would not be aware that this is not helpful.

Do you remember phrases like -
  • Shut the fridge you are wasting power
  • Turn the lights off when you are not using them
  • Money does not grow on trees you know
  • We can’t afford that
  • That's what people with money have
  • Rich people are not nice people
  • You have to work hard to ever have any money
  • You have to go to university to be successful and earn money

I am sure you will be able to add your own phrases that resonate from your childhood.  Are you starting to see why you think the way you do about money?

By learning how to challenge common ideals about money and ask lots of questions you can teach your children better ways to think about money.  You can also change how you think about money.  Your brain and how you think can be rewired at any age so it is never too late to do this.

Now that you know what you need to do to re-think your relationship with money, the world is your oyster!  Cheers to your success!
